King Richard

King Richard is a story about Richard Williams, a determined father and his plan to make his daughters Venus and Serena the biggest tennis champions the world has ever seen. It is a period piece yet still somewaht recent history (80’s and 90’s). The graphic elements are designed to be reflective of the Los Angeles vernacular of the time referencing the cross-over from analog to sloppy vinyl banner teritory. This time period is quite a challenge in that you sometimes have to take everything you know and love about graphic design and toss it out the window.
