Client: Menotti’s Coffee Stop, Venice, CA
Project: Logo Identity
Menotti’s Bar, originally built in 1915 by Caesar Menotti, was the beginning of the legendary speakeasy that was soon (in 1920) fronted by the Menotti’s Buffet. Moving the real bar operation to the basement, the grocery store kept a lid on the burgeoning underground liquor trade which supplied local merchants with First-Cabin status.
Menotti’s is now a premium coffee house which serves high-end Four Barrel coffee with flair and panache. Chapple Design recreated the famed logo identity which, in the day, was painted on the outer building facade.
